MAIN RESULTS / FINDINGS

Main objective of the 2nd workshop was to reflect the outcomes of what has been implemented so far within the running programme of training events.

From November 2004 to March 2005 the following workshops has been realised:

Results and experiences were reflected and recommendations for the upcoming spring- and summer-period were drawn by the participants. The following documentation summarizes these findings and recommendations briefly:

Module 2: The role of Regional Management

Achieved Recommendations
Common picture of the roles of RM Shareholder or contracting authorities should participate in future workshops
Deeper mutual understanding of different concepts of RMs, their strengths and weaknesses RDAs should participate in future workshops
A big step forward to defining the possible future tasks and roles of RM  

Module 4: New SF-Period 2007 - 2013

Achieved Recommendations
Sound information base on the principles of the EU Regulations
Common understanding and common view has to be developed
Good summary of the status-quo More interaction and scope for finding own positions

Module 6: First level control

Achieved Recommendations
A broad discussion on many different aspects Focussing on concrete questions
A systemic view on the interlinks of operational and strategic aspects and of different stakeholder viewpoints (project-owner, IBs, RMs, JTS and Controllers) More participants from CZ and SI (1st Level Controller)
Getting information on different ways and procedures gives an impression of having more options.

Deeper mutual understanding of project development
Combine it with module 9
Finding a common picture and track for the preparation of the new SF-period Prepare (or compile) a handbook on project development in the fame of INTERREG

Module 9: Cross border projects

Principle discussion on core differences and their consequences
(call-procedure vs. open procedure; Single- , mirror- and joint projects)
Deeper understanding of the Lead partner Principle
Continue this discussion to achieve concrete results
