THE ROLE OF REGIONAL MANAGEMENTS – MODULE 2

The Iq-Train/ings-module 2 “The role of Regional Managements” focuses on the development of a common role model for Regional Managements (RMs) / Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) / Euregios in connection with INTERREG IIIA. Starting from that present interaction and cooperation among RMs / RDAs / Euregios as well as with other INTERREG-programme-actors from different levels (project-holders, Managing Authorities, national co-financing agencies) will be analysed and upgraded. Furthermore future perspectives and role models shall be discussed and introduced in the discussion about the new programme-period 2007+.

In this context Iq-Train will organise three seminar-units on the following topics:

• Definition of a role model for RMs / RDAs / Euregios in the context of current INTERREG III A implementation as well as considering new draft regulations on structural funds – December 04/January 05
• Tasks and opportunities of RMs / RDAs / Euregios within future transnational and interregional cooperation - seminar 2, - May 2005
• The future role of RMs / RDAs / Euregios within the structural funds-period 2007+ - (“Territorial Cooperation”-programme development and its implementation on programme- and project-level) - seminar 3, autumn 2005

Target group are staff-members of RMs / RDAs as well as members of intermediate bodies acting as contact-persons for RMs.
